Please note that admission to the Mineure en écriture et style is suspended until further notice.
A superior command of French will boost your marks at the undergraduate level. Upon completion of your studies, nearly every position offered to you will include a writing component. And, since you will not likely have secretarial services to rely on and since even the best spell checking software applications cannot spot every error, your employer will require that you write well in French; indeed, language skills will often be the factor that allows you to stand out from the other candidates.
The minor in écriture et style offered by the Département de français includes a full range of courses in French grammar and composition. If you want to hone your written communication skills in French, not only to improve your academic performance but also to maximize your professional potential, this minor is for you; the only condition is that your undergraduate degree allows you to add a minor.
This program is offered in French only.
The table below includes only discipline-specific courses. Please refer to the Academic Regulations for information on including a minor to your degree.
