The microprogram in Vered Jewish Canadian Studies provides students with a comprehensive knowledge base in Jewish Canadian studies by promoting an understanding of Jewish life, culture, language, literature and history in Canada. This 9 course-unit microprogram includes a selection of courses in history, Jewish Canadian literature, religious studies, Yiddish language and culture. This microprogram can be integrated into most of the BA and BSc programs of the Faculty of Arts.
Thanks to the generous philanthropic leadership of Sara and the late Zeev Vered of Ottawa, the University has created a Jewish Canadian Studies Endowment Fund in support of Vered Jewish Canadian Studies at the University.
The table below includes only the microprogram-specific courses. Please refer to the Academic Regulations for information on the possible combinations available within the Faculty of Arts.
