The Microprogram in Biomanufacturing consists of 6 course units. It is oriented towards mastering professional skills in biomanufacturing and GMP/GLP practices.
Students Already Admitted and Enrolled in a Graduate Program
Students wishing to take the microprogram as part of their graduate program must apply for, and be admitted to, their graduate program before they enroll in the Graduate Microprogram identified within their existing program.
Students who would like to enroll into the Microprogram in Biomanufacturing must contact the graduate studies office at grad.med@uottawa.ca.
Special Students
Students pursuing a Graduate Microprogram, without being admitted to or intending to complete a graduate program, must obtain the prior approval of the academic unit offering the Graduate Microprogram.
Regardless of the student’s status, these requirements must be met:
- Have a bachelor of sciences (BSc) degree with a specialization or major (or equivalent) in one of the following areas: biology, translational and molecular medicine, biochemistry, pharmacology, physiology, human kinetics (kinesiology), biopharmaceutical or biomedical sciences with a minimum average of 75% (B+).
Note: International candidates must check the admission equivalencies for the diploma they received in their country of origin.
Candidates must submit the following documents to grad.med@uottawa.ca:
- University level transcripts
- Letter of intent
- CV
Language Requirements
Applicants must be able to understand and fluently speak the language of instruction (French or English) in the program to which they are applying. Proof of linguistic proficiency may be required. Most of the courses in this program are offered in English.
Applicants whose first language is neither French nor English must provide proof of proficiency in the language of instruction.
Note: Candidates are responsible for any fees associated with the language tests.
